El Musical Artistic Center of Xàbia will organize 20 to the 22 of February of 2026 el First Course in Orchestra and Band Conducting, taught by the prestigious director and educator Miguel Romea.
El Management Course, which is aimed at both active directors and students interested in directing techniques, aims to expand specialized training in the field of Marina Alta and the province of Alicante. Integrated into the center's annual activity plan, the course aims to become an attractive proposal both for the level of the teaching staff and for the possibility of working directly with band and string musicians.
The artistic coordination is handled by Gonzalo de la Guía, principal conductor of the Band of the Artistic Musical Center of Xàbia.

Course contents
The course will be held on the following days February 20, 21 and 22, 2026 and will include:
- Theoretical classes on technique and management concepts.
- Four practical sessions: three trials with band and an extra session with string ensemble.
- General essay y closing concert with the band of the Center Artístic Musical de Xàbia.
The theoretical and practical classes will take place in the Polivalent room Clot Portal, while the final concert will take place in the Church of St. Bartholomew.
The planned agenda includes presentation and theory sessions on Friday afternoon, work A combination of theory and practice on Saturday —including a dinner gathering— and, on Sunday, a dress rehearsal, the last theory class and a closing concert with the awarding of diplomas.

Students will be advised on options for accommodation y maintenanceAt the end, they will be handed out accrediting diplomas of the hours completed by both active and auditing students, and active participants will also receive a recording of the closing concert.
