The streets and squares of old town The streets of Xàbia became the setting for a day marked by good humor, camaraderie, and Christmas spirit. The San Silvestre Perrestre race, sponsored by Asevi and organized by the Club Esportiu Llebeig de Xàbia, with the collaboration of Historical Xàbia y Town HallIt is now a well-established event after reaching its third edition.
The San Silvestre race combined sport and leisure in an urban route that attracted participants of different ages and levels, with the option of completing the distance by running or walking.
The organizers set a 4,5-kilometer course for the runners, while the walkers followed a shorter 2,25-kilometer route, designed to encourage family and community participation. As is tradition in this race, costumes were a major attraction: Christmas outfits, festive characters, and original costumes enlivened the participants as they made their way through the city center.
The awards included trophies for the top three runners in the male and female categories, as well as for runners with and without pets. The award for best costume went to the couple dressed as a snowman, and the group prize was awarded to the runners from Club Esportiu Llebeig for their star costumes. Both costumes stood out for their originality and their impressive performance during the race.

Also, as part of the race's charitable aspect, a check was presented to APASA, the Animal Protection Association. San Antonio from Xàbia, with the amount of 430 euros, collected from race registrations.
