An economic challenge for the club
However, participation in an event of this magnitude implies a major economic challenge for Club Handbol Xàbia. The costs of travel, accommodation and other expenses derived from an international competition require a large budget that the club must cover.
Given this situation, and as coach Pep Hierro explained to Dénia FM, the Department of Sports of the Javea Town Hall has expressed his commitment to collaborate to facilitate the team's participation in Porto Santo. This institutional support is essential for the club to cover some of the expenses involved in a top-level international competition.
Even with municipal support, Club Handbol Xàbia needs the involvement of local business fabric to complete the necessary budget and make this sporting adventure a reality. The organization is appealing to all companies who wish to join the project and support the team that will take the name of Xàbia and Spanish beach handball to the international stage in the 2026 Champions Cup.
