La Volta a Peu Xàbia Memorial José Albi It celebrated its thirty-seventh edition with a remarkable participation of elite athletes and numerous runners who came with the aim of improving their personal records on a course recognized for its speed.
The circuit, practically flat and with few curves, once again demonstrated its potential to encourage high speeds. As a result, a high density of participants was recorded, with a total of 1.391 runners managed to cross the finish line, twelve of them under 35 minutes.
Francisco López Ortolá leads a high-level podium
In the men's category, the athlete from iRun Calp, Francisco López OrtoláHe was the first to stop the clock, setting a spectacular record of 32:09He finished nine seconds ahead of the local athletes from Llebeig de Xàbia, who completed the podium.
The second classified was Robert Harrison, with a time of 32:17, while the third position was occupied by his clubmate and winner in Calp, José Manuel García Barragan, which ended in 32:20.
María Isabel Ferrer reasserts her authority
In the female category, the local athlete from Llebeig de Xàbia and Queen of the Circuit, Maria Isabel FerrerHe once again demonstrated his dominance by stopping the clock at 36:32.
Second place went to the athlete from Kamikazes Gang, Eri Yonamine, with a time of 38:09, while the third position was occupied by the Publidom athlete, Cristina RosellóWith a time of 38: 54.

Regarding the local classification, the organizing club, the CE Llebeig of Xàbia, awarded prizes to the top finishers in all categories of the main event, without accumulating awards for those who had already been distinguished in the overall classification.

Tribute to the presidency and continuity of the Circuit a Peu
CE Llebeig Xàbia also wanted to recognize the eight years of dedication of Madelane Powell as president and Kika in the treasury, giving them a small token of appreciation for their work leading the club during this period.
After the main race, which kicked off the morning, the children's races were held, in which nearly 300 boys and girls in categories ranging from toddlers to youth. Combining both modalities, the day brought together 1.700 participants.
