The Socialist Municipal Group of Xàbia denounces "a new error in the fiscal management" of the local government team, by having the collection of direct debit receipts for the two main municipal taxes coincide in the same month: the garbage tax and the Property Tax (IBI).
"This accumulation of payments with only one month's difference, a direct consequence of the delay in issuing the garbage receipt, puts many families in serious difficulties and member "from Xàbia," the socialists have indicated.
El Town Hall has announced that it will start collecting garbage from August 1st, just as the IBI (Property and Property) collection period begins, with the direct debit payment scheduled for September 1st. "This overlap in the payment of taxes demonstrates the lack of foresight, planning and social sensitivity of the government team," stated the Socialist spokesperson, José Chulvi.
To correct this situation, the PSOE It proposes a simple and viable measure: postponing the direct debit collection of the IBI (Property Tax) until October 5th. This change would allow taxpayers additional time between the two payments, thus alleviating the financial pressure caused by the overlap in billing.
The Socialist Municipal Group emphasizes that this modification is entirely possible, since the management of taxes in Xàbia is direct, not delegated to SUMA. Furthermore, the City Council's sound financial health allows for
make this small adjustment without causing any harm to the municipal treasury.
"Having direct control over tax management allows for precisely these types of actions that help families and businesses organize themselves better and avoid unnecessary difficulties," Chulvi explained.
The socialist spokesman concluded by stating that "this new imbalance is another example of the chaos and paralysis that prevails in the government of Rosa Cardona (PP): not only do they manage poorly, but they do so without taking into account the economic reality of many residents and businesses in our municipality."

For lack of anything else to complain about, because they can't, the PSOE criticizes tax collection. The Casa Candelaria project has been awarded, the Mar Azul PAI (Spanish Urban Development Plan) has been awarded, the €1 million Asphalt Plan has been awarded and is underway, Javea Park is completed, and the industrial estate is out for tender. All projects that Bonxic has repeatedly failed to achieve or companies have walked away from. Management, management, and management.
The PSOE thrives on opposition; they suddenly have ideas, they propose things, they sound coherent when they criticize...
The government is what we all hated, a true reflection of socialism: important projects half-finished, fires out of control, a landfill with non-stop smoke...
