The PSOE of Xàbia criticizes the government team's lack of foresight in managing the tourist season.

May 30 from 2025 - 15: 55

The spokesperson of the Socialist Party at the Javea Town Hall, José ChulviThe Socialist councilor has expressed his concern about the upcoming tourist season in the town. He described the situation as a "lack of foresight and negligence" on the part of the local government team—comprised of PP, CpJ and Vox - in the management of contracts related to the safety and organization of the coastline in anticipation of the upcoming tourist season.

Chulvi pointed out that as of May 30, two contracts considered essential to guarantee the correct functioning of the coastline during the months of greatest influx of tourists and visitors to Xàbia have still not been awarded, "both the contract for beach marking - which includes the delimitation of bathing areas and the installation of buoys - and the contract for vehicle access control to the coves are still on the contracting platform, with a deadline until June 2, pending tender."

The Socialist Party spokesperson emphasized the importance of completing this contract on time for the safety of beachgoers. "The specifications weren't approved until May 12th, and if the entire procedure goes well, it won't be until mid- or late June that this will be in order. This represents a lack of safety for users and the preservation of the marine environment during these days, when a large influx of people and boats can already be seen on the beaches."

José Chulvi insisted that this delay "is an example of inaction and lack of coordination on the part of the governing team. They knew the contract was ending last year and have not given this management top priority."

The Socialist Party has indicated that the beaconing contract is being processed under an urgent procedure, "but the contract for access control to the coves, which includes the installation of barriers and the presence of security guards to regulate vehicle access, is in the ordinary procedure, which is expected to delay its implementation once the high season begins, leading to traffic chaos and a safety hazard."

From the PSOE"The lack of this important management just days before the start of the summer season constitutes negligence for Xàbia." The Socialists point out, on the one hand, that the lack of access control to Portitxol y granadella "It poses a safety risk for the thousands of people who gather in the coves every day, as well as the accessibility of emergency services in the event of any incident. And regarding beaconing, the lack of anchor buoys poses a risk to the posidonia and, at the same time, to bathers."

Chulvi's work is impressive, giving lessons in foresight now. Chulvi, the police were cool with you, right? You left us some nice trash cans, right? You were forward-thinking about the fires, right? Who would have thought half your town would burn down one year (oh, fire) and the other half two years later? It can happen to anyone, but twice, and with zero maintenance, and much more has been done now without any revolutionary approach.

But of course, you were forward-thinking with the audience, with the Triana Bridge that kept us going around in circles for a year, with Thiviers, with the landfill fire that was unbearable until it came out in the press... thank goodness you're a genius and you're here to teach us all lessons.

Not to mention Cinema Central, the auditorium, the terrible public transport, the traffic, the priest,
      Shut up, Chulvi, you collect.
      Let Miralles write little notes.

Don't hyperventilate, you're not going to have boies and the boats are going to crash into people's caps. Eixa is the truth. The rest, Chinese stories.

  3. Pep says:

Direu who voldreu, but YES that the anchorages were located in all the streets, the entrance to the marine coves was protected and the access to the streets was controlled. De fet, això de les cales no s'hadvia fet abans. I see that some are going to protest. But it worked. I plow, beef of beef.

  4. xabiero says:

That this man wants to give lessons on how things are done properly is something to take a hard look at. After twelve years of utter neglect, Mr. Chulvi comes along to tell you how things are done. The best thing this man could do is go home and make way for more qualified people.

  5. Manuel Antunez says:

Opinions, many. One is true: before, there were controls and buoys. Now, there won't be. Before, people's safety and the health of the sea were protected, and now they won't be.

When there's an emergency, with everything jammed with cars, how will they handle it? When thousands of ships drop anchor, what will happen to the seabed? When a propeller hits a child?

  6. Pau (FR) says:

Under Chulvi, access to the coves was safe and the beaches were marked with signposts. Users and the seabed were protected. Now, under Rosa, it's not. Everything is wrong and everything is late. Or is VOX's agenda to leave nature and access to the coves unprotected? Has Ponset screwed up again?

When something happens, we'll see who's responsible: a swimmer being run over, a fire, an ambulance not passing, the destruction of the seabed, sea caves filled with jet skis...

    • lalala says:

Pau Chulvi joining the "oh, VOX is coming" movement. Because the Suaciatas live very well with Bildu.

  7. Paola says:

Today on the road to Granadella there was already a lot of chaos and long lines...
We need controls and management for sustainable access!!!

  8. Hugo says:

Easy to understand: before, it was CONTROL of access to beaches and PROTECTION of users and the seabed. Now, it's UNCONTROLLED and UNPROTECTED.

Don't let them tell you stories.

    • To make the ma says:

No, Chulvi alone can tell you, he used to do everything right.

      Big eggs.

      • Hugo says:

Whatever you want. But there were access controls and mooring buoys. Now they've fallen asleep. And the risk to people and the environment is real.
