The Marina Alta region has called a Citizens' march in defense of the coast for this 8 Sunday of Februaryat 13 pm, In Jávea Bay, Avenida del Mediterráneo, nº 2, first Montañar.
The action is part of a mobilization that, according to its promoters, responds to the increasing urban pressure which worries residents, associations and groups linked to the protection of the territory and natural heritage.
under the motto 'Walk in defense of the coast'The call is presented as an act peaceful, «democratic and necessary», with the intention of bringing together citizens from different municipalities in the region and highlighting the demand for a more sustainable model for the coast.
The organization extends the invitation to participate to residents of Dénia, Xàbia, Benissa, Moraira and the entire Marina Alta region, as well as public officials, neighborhood associations, and the media. Their goal, they explain, is to convey a message of unity: "This is not a fight for a small group, it is a cause for everyone."
from the collective Culture Sustainable Dénia They emphasize that protecting the territory "is not an ideological issue," but a matter of responsibility and respect for future generationsIn their appeal, they insist that "every step counts" and that citizen participation is key to halting the loss of natural heritage.
The walk is planned as a strolls of a protest nature with a focus on unity and dignityin defense of the coastline and natural spaces of the region. The call, they say, seeks to get citizens "out of their comfort zone" to get involved in a cause they consider shared.

Let's not forget that everything done in urban planning has been designed and approved, permit by permit, by successive town councils, with officials elected by a majority of the townspeople. So neither outsiders nor tourists have had any involvement other than paying for it with their property taxes. And it's the townspeople who have enriched themselves for years by selling off their land. So now there's a lot of talk, but the responsibility and blame for the current situation lies with the town itself.
Best regards
